Our Classrooms

Lil' Prodigy has classrooms specifically designed to fit the needs of each age group.  Our full day programs are available for children ages newborn to 5 years old.  We also have before and after school hours for ages 5-13 as needed.

Infant Room

The infant room is divided into two groups of children, Infants 6 weeks to 18 months old.  In the Infant room we strive to provide your baby with a happy and healthy learning environment in which your child will thrive. We provide learning experiences throughout the day while following the routine your child is comfortable with at home.

Toddler Room

In the Toddler Room, we help develop the skills of their age though play and scheduled activities throughout the day. We have music/dance time and a small circle time so the children can start learning the basic ABC’s days of the week, and counting through songs and story time. Also, the children have art time everyday to help develop their fine motor skills as well as outside time to work on their gross motor. All while mirroring the 38 research base objectives in The Creative Curriculum for Infant, Toddler, and Twos

2 Year Olds

Children are learning to increase their physical skills using gross motor tasks by running and playing outside, participating in movement activities, mastering holding/using pencils, crayons, markers, and paint brushes. Children are also learning how to hold and cut with scissors, building structures with blocks and manipulatives as well as putting together simple puzzles. Their cognitive and language development is being fostered by being able to explore sorting and matching games, learning to use centers and showing interest in stories and books.

3 Year Olds

These children are getting ready to enter the Pre-K room and are learning a wife variety of activities that foster their developmental stage. Following the guide lines of The Creative Curriculum, teachers are encouraging children to be independent. They are learning to make their own choices and to be active members of group learning activities. Children are learning to express their needs though words. At this age, children will learn to follow more specific directions and cooperate with others. Teachers will provide experiences that foster group play as well as independent play teaching children to gain an understanding of basic concepts and relationships.

Pre-K

This program is designed for children preparing to go to kindergarten. The goals of this program are to continue to build on the foundations learned in the 3-4 year old classroom. Children in Pre-K will be given the opportunity to learn through concrete, hands-on experiences. They will be encouraged to explore, challenge and question their environment. This program is designed to have a mix of child directed, and teacher directed activities per The Creative Curriculum for Pre-K. Children will be constantly observed and given the chances to expand on their skills through a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities.  The Pre- K program is designed to set the foundations of learning as the children grow physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.
